Online Booking for hotel: Melenos Lindos
The Melenos Lindos is situated near the top of an unbelievably pretty, historical village, right below one of Greece’s most important archaeological sites. It is one of the most beautiful places to stay in Greece. Though newly built, its architecture is a mélange of Byzantine and Ottoman influences and it is in absolute harmony with the style of the village. It took the owner, Michalis Melenos’, nearly 15 years to realise this dream. He approached every aspect with the greatest diligence and artistry, from the landscaping and the design of the intricate pebble-stone terraces outside, up to the smallest detail inside. The wooden lattice work, the fine motives in the hand-painted ceilings, the colourful embroideries and antique objects adorning the rooms, everything reflects his eye for perfection.
Staying in a place that offers such a sequence of visual treats (including the amazing views – of the sea when you look down and of the castle when you look up!) is a very special experience. Moreover, the impeccable aesthetics are matched by flawless service (friendly, attentive but not overbearing), excellent food (fine Mediterranean cuisine) and great comfort. The generously sized rooms offer a remarkable blend of local tradition and luxury. There are no beds, but superbly comfortable mattresses are placed on elevated sleeping platforms and made with the finest bed linen. A whole range of mod-cons is fitted into elaborately carved closets and the excellent bathrooms are stocked with a great range of bath treats, a hairdryer, slippers, robes and enormous towels.
The Melenos Lindos is one of those rare hotels where you can experience luxury of the highest standards in a pleasantly laid-back atmosphere – a combination that is not easy to find.
Your experiences
* "Phenomenal"
Our stay at Melenos Lindos was phenomenal. An absolutely beautiful hotel, great staff combined made for the best experience. For me especially being of Greek background, the experience was very very good. Being able to use the Greek language I know with a young/fun staff was just great for me and was the best way to start off our travels in Greece. Michalis especially sets off the pace at the hotel. The pace is calm and comfortable with the staff taking care of their tasks while at the same time taking the time out to talk to guests, I definitely felt welcomed and could have stayed there for the entire time of our vacation. I have already recommended you and Melenos to numerous people who’ve showed interest…. That’s assuming you will save space for us next year! Thanks
