Hotel Suites Pandora is situated in a narrow street in the old Venetian harbour of Chania, overlooking the water and only a one-minute walk from the central square and the lively pedestrian streets of the old town. The neo-classical building dates from 1870 and used to be a family home.
You access the hotel from a charming little courtyard shaded by an enormous lemon tree. The entrance hall is quite striking: one of its walls is entirely covered with a colourful modern fresco, which has marble sculptured chairs attached to it. The twelve suites are more classical in their décor: high, light blue ceilings, pristine white walls, brass beds, marble tables, some antique wooden furniture and white cotton curtains create a fresh and airy, yet intimate atmosphere. Most are real suites, with a sitting room, a little kitchen unit and one or two bedrooms, while a few are strictly doubles. Two of the one-bedroom suites, Aphrodite and Dias, have a large private veranda overlooking the old port. The view from these room are great, but the trade-off is that you do get noise from a nearby nightclub.
There is no restaurant or sitting room in the hotel, and when it is too chilly to sit out, breakfast will be brought to you in your room. But during the summer months, breakfast is served on the roof terrace from where you enjoy sweeping views over the sea, the harbour and the old town. Fresh orange juice, perfectly boiled eggs, little bread buns, home-baked cake, make this an excellent way to start the day.
Your experiences
* "Full of charm"
Suite Pandora, Oresti and Viglatoras were great: excellent reception by the owners of those hotels, very warm people, ready to help you and to advise you for anything. Suite Pandora: very, very well located, above the small harbour of Hania, very clean. Room full of charm, pittoresque, with a nice decoration. Breakfast excellent.

The old town of Hania is a wonderful place to spend time, and there are lots of beaches nearby. We recommend that you also keep one day to make the traverse of the stunning Samaria gorge.
