Η Δημητσάνα είναι ένα όμορφα διατηρημένο ορεινό χωριό, που παρά την απομακρυσμένη γεωγραφική του θέση, έπαιξε σημαντικό ρόλο στην Ελληνική Ιστορία. Το 1993, στο πλαίσιο μιας προσπάθειας προσέλκυσης τουρισμού, ο Ελληνικός Οργανισμός Τουρισμού αναστήλωσε μια εντυπωσιακή έπαυλη 150 ετών και την μετέτρεψε σε έναν απλό, παραδοσιακό ξενώνα. Πριν από μερικά χρόνια, δυο νέες γυναίκες ανέλαβαν την έπαυλη Καζάκου, βελτιώνοντας τις ανέσεις που παρέχει ο ξενώνας και προσθέτοντας τις δικές τους ζεστές πινελιές στην προηγούμενη λιτή διακόσμηση. 

Ο ξενώνας Καζάκου έχει πέντε μεγάλα και άνετα υπνοδωμάτια. Είναι όλα επιπλωμένα με τοπικού χαρακτήρα ξύλινα εντοιχισμένα κρεβάτια και χαμηλά τραπεζάκια. Όλα τα δωμάτια διαθέτουν τζάκι που μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί τις κρύες νύχτες, διαφορετικά μπορείτε να δημιουργήσετε μια ρομαντική ατμόσφαιρα με την πληθώρα των κεριών που θα σας δοθούν. Τα δωμάτια στον επάνω όροφο έχουν μεγάλα παράθυρα και είναι πολύ φωτεινά. Κάποια βλέπουν στην πλατεία του χωριού και στη γειτονική εκκλησία. Να είστε προετοιμασμένοι ότι την Κυριακή το πρωί, ο παπάς της περιοχής χτυπάει τις καμπάνες με ενθουσιασμό. Ευτυχώς, όμως, το πρωινό που θα σας σερβιριστεί αξίζει το πρωινό ξύπνημα: καταπληκτικές ομελέτες, στοίβες από μικρές κρέπες, γιαούρτι, αποξηραμένα φρούτα και φρεσκοστυμμένος χυμός πορτοκαλιού. Το πρωινό σερβίρεται στο παλιό κελάρι της έπαυλης που έχει μετατραπεί σε ένα ζεστό καθιστικό με θόλο.

Guesthouse Kazakou was comfortable and charming. The proprietress is providing what I am certain must be the most delicious, interesting and charmingly served breakfast in the entire land of Greece! Her pride in doing this is obvious and it was a wonderful treat to start the day so well taken care of. The Guesthouse itself is wonderfully and dramatically located. It is clean and comfortable with lots of character and a wealth of architecturally interesting details, not the least of them being the beautiful wooden ceilings. My husband and I would definitely return.
We found our contact with 'Your Greece' via the website to be very good and efficient. I always had the feeling that our email were being read and that questions were answered quickly and satisfactorily. We will most definitely use your website again and I would certainly recommend it to friends if they are thinking of travelling to Greece.

* ''The breakfast was very special''
We booked a holiday trip through the Peloponnesus and we just had a wonderful time.
Part thanks to Your Greece because we had lovely hotels and guesthouses in sometimes quiet villages in a very beautiful setting. Just because of all the peace and quiet we could enjoy the accommodations you found for us and meet the people there. Specially the guesthouse Kazakou in Dimitsana where we had long talks and learned a lot of the Greek Culture and way of living. The breakfast was very special, it was a surprise every morning.We can tell so much more but we want to say thanks for the help we received from you. A better service is hard to find, thanks to you.We are sure that we will book again in the future.

* ''Very quaint
Very, very special. We had long chats with Burka, who runs the guesthouse during the summer, and is fluent in English. The car hardly made it up the hill, and we reversed to the front door to offload, blocking the road totally. Who cares? A very special experience. Very quaint. A lovely mountain town. Highly recommended.

* "The nicest hosts of the entire trip"
Heading north and inland, we stopped in spectacular Mistra, before climbing to Dimitsana and a two day stay with the nicest hosts of the entire trip. We were completely at home in the Guesthouse Kazakou. The young people in charge that week not only were wonderful company and conversation, but fixed the best homemade breakfast I have had in years. They also recommended villages to visit nearby and where to go for dinner. I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to spend the day hiking to the monasteries in the gorge, and then going back to the hotel for cocktails and chat.

* "Highlights"
All three hotels (Kyveli, Kazakou and Generali) were incredibly wonderful. We would gladly be a personal reference for each of the three. It is unusual to say that hotels became highlights of your trip but these owner occupied and personally involved hotels certainly did.Thank you!
